Leading GBSS to victory was Zickomo Francis with 21 points, 6 steals, and 3 rebounds. Francis was awarded the overall Male MVP of the Championships after winning a total 4 MVP awards, 3 of those awards were in the finals against PBC.

Meanwhile, the Happy Hill Secondary School which played undefeated during the tournament, sealed a perfect season with their finals victory over the Anglican High School, with Ajah Bowen of Happy Hill Secondary School being named MVP.

Speaking with the Barnacle, Deandra James Representative for Subway, who has been the main sponsor for the competition over the past three years, said this is the brands’ way of giving back to the students.

According to James, students need to be given more attention after school and more opportunities like this for positive development.
