Grenada’s young and upcoming female cricketer bowling all-rounder Taylor Dickson will lead the Windward Island Under 19 female team in the upcoming Cricket West Indies tournament later this year.
Dickson, a student of the St. Mark Secondary School who represented the Grenada National Women’s team in the just concluded Windward Island Women’s Tournament in St. Lucia was given the nod by the selectors to lead the regional team into the upcoming Cricket West Indies Tournament. Added to her performance in the tournament, Dickson’s selection was based on experience, maturity and leadership qualities both on and off the field.
Having represented the region in the 2019 tournament, the Grenadian right arm off-spinner is one of four Grenadians named on the Windward Island under nineteen team for the upcoming tournament. The other players selected to represent the region are, Theresa Thomas, Christy Blake and Britney Pascal.

Taylor Dickson, Theresa Thomas, Christy Blake and Britney Pascal from Grenada, Zaida James, Suenelli Dorius, Makada Dubois and Shernia Cooper from St Lucia, Jannillea Glasglow, Alison Antoine and Jena Malony from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and from Dominica Adicia Burton, Jenifer Gasper and Earnisha Funtaine.
Making the reserve list was Alexandra Phillip from Grenada, Delita Bentick and Tracy Byron from St Vincent and Skyy Smith from St Lucia.
Zaida James of St Lucia was named Vice Captain of the team.
Team Manager is Lydia Edgar with Clinton Burnette as coach.
Meanwhile in the senior division another Grenadian, West Indies Leg Spinner Afy Fletcher retained her spot as captain of the Windward Island senior female team for the upcoming regional series.
Fletcher who was also named as a member of the West Indies World Cup T 20 team was given the nod base on her wealth of experience and leadership qualities both on and off the field.
Although Fletcher was unable to join the Grenada team for the Windward Island tournament due to her involvement with the West Indies team, selectors are confident her experience would add value to the team in the upcoming tournaments.

The Vice-Captain named is Ashlene Edwards from St Lucia and on the reserve list is Vinishu King and Stacy Ann King from St Vincent, Narissa Crafton from St Lucia and Shanttan Charles from Grenada
The team would be coached by Eugenia Greg with Samantha Lynch as manager.
